Operating space: portion of the restricted space that is actually used while performing all motions by the task programme.
Restricted space: portion of the maximum space restricted by limiting devices that establish limits which not be exceeded. This space could be realized by a safety function of the robot control system (i.e. the DCS function for Fanuc Robots).
Maximum space: maximum portion of space which the robot is able to cover without limiting devices.
Safeguarded space: space defined by the perimeter safeguarding.
