The Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC deals with the first placement on the market or put into service of a new machine.
The issue is the usage and sales of machinery not CE marked, or in other terms introduced on the Italian Market before the 24th July 2011, date of introduction of the old Machinery Directive 98/37/EC in Italy.
Both Italian and foreign Manufacturers who want to sell machines not CE marked on the Italian Market have to demonstate the compliace with the Annex V of the Italian Safety Law D.Lgs 81/08.
