La pr\u00e9sence d&rsquo;un dispositif d&rsquo;arr\u00eat d&rsquo;urgence sur une machine n&rsquo;est pas toujours requise, notamment lorsque<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Machines pour lesquelles un dispositif d&rsquo;arr\u00eat d&rsquo;urgence ne diminuerait pas le risque, soit parce qu&rsquo;il ne r\u00e9duirait pas le temps d&rsquo;arr\u00eat, soit parce qu&rsquo;il ne permettrait pas de prendre les mesures particuli\u00e8res n\u00e9cessaires pour faire face au risque ;<\/li>\n<li>Machines portatives tenues et\/ou guid\u00e9es \u00e0 la main.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>L&rsquo;arr\u00eat d&rsquo;urgence ne constitue pas en soi une protection, il ne r\u00e9duit donc pas le risque li\u00e9 \u00e0 une situation dangereuse. Il est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme compl\u00e9mentaire \u00e0 d&rsquo;autres mesures de protection telles que les protecteurs et les dispositifs de protection, mais ne les remplace pas.<\/p>\n<p>En ce qui concerne le dispositif d&rsquo;arr\u00eat d&rsquo;urgence, la directive stipule ce qui suit :<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Le dispositif doit :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comporter des dispositifs de commande clairement identifiables, bien visibles et rapidement accessibles,<\/li>\n<li>Arr\u00eater le processus dangereux le plus rapidement possible, sans cr\u00e9er de risques suppl\u00e9mentaires,<\/li>\n<li>Le cas \u00e9ch\u00e9ant, d\u00e9clencher ou permettre le d\u00e9clenchement de certains mouvements de sauvegarde.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>De nombreuses nouveaut\u00e9s sont introduites avec la version de novembre 2015.
