Cette norme fournit les sp\u00e9cifications techniques \u00e0 suivre pour la construction d&rsquo;escaliers, d&rsquo;escabeaux et d&rsquo;\u00e9chelles utilis\u00e9s comme moyen d&rsquo;acc\u00e8s permanent \u00e0 une machine ; les sp\u00e9cifications fournies ne peuvent pas \u00eatre appliqu\u00e9es aux syst\u00e8mes d&rsquo;acc\u00e8s motoris\u00e9s, tels que les escaliers m\u00e9caniques et les ascenseurs.<br \/>\nPour chaque moyen d&rsquo;acc\u00e8s r\u00e9pertori\u00e9, la conception et le choix des mat\u00e9riaux doivent tenir compte des conditions d&rsquo;utilisation : la conception des diff\u00e9rents composants doit \u00eatre conforme aux tables d&rsquo;ergonomie (ISO 15534, parties 1 et 3) et doit pr\u00e9venir le risque de chute d&rsquo;objets en pr\u00e9sence de garde-corps et de barri\u00e8res.<br \/>\nLa norme pr\u00e9voit \u00e9galement une s\u00e9rie d&rsquo;essais obligatoires pour la r\u00e9sistance des marches<strong> [14122-3:2016 &#8211; \u00a7 4.2.1]<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>1. <strong>Essai pour les charges impos\u00e9es pr\u00e9visibles<\/strong> : la marche doit r\u00e9sister \u00e0 des charges r\u00e9parties de 1,5kN\/m2 pour des conditions de circulation pi\u00e9tonne peu dense sans charge, ou de 5kN\/m2 pour des conditions de circulation pi\u00e9tonne peu dense avec charge ou de circulation pi\u00e9tonne tr\u00e8s dense.<br \/>\n2. <strong>Essai pour les charges minimales non pond\u00e9r\u00e9es<\/strong> : l&rsquo;essai est effectu\u00e9 avec une ou deux charges, en fonction de la largeur de la marche, de 1,5kN appliqu\u00e9es \u00e0 des zones de 100\u00d7100 mm de large, situ\u00e9es au point pr\u00e9sentant le plus grand risque de d\u00e9faillance.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Lors de ces essais, la d\u00e9flexion de la zone charg\u00e9e doit \u00eatre inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 1\/300o de la largeur de la marche et ne doit jamais d\u00e9passer 6 mm.
