Elle s&rsquo;applique aux SRP\/CS pour les modes de fonctionnement continu et \u00e0 forte demande, <strong>y compris leurs sous-syst\u00e8mes<\/strong>, quel que soit le type de technologie et d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie utilis\u00e9 : \u00e9lectrique, hydraulique, pneumatique ou m\u00e9canique. La norme ISO 13849-1 ne s&rsquo;applique pas au mode de fonctionnement \u00e0 faible demande.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;aptitude des parties des syst\u00e8mes de commande relatives \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e0 ex\u00e9cuter des fonctions de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 dans des conditions pr\u00e9visibles est indiqu\u00e9e par l&rsquo;un des cinq niveaux, appel\u00e9s niveaux de performance ou PL. L&rsquo;annexe A de la norme ISO 13849-1 contient une m\u00e9thode qui peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e pour <strong>d\u00e9terminer le PLr<\/strong> d&rsquo;une fonction de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 ex\u00e9cut\u00e9e par la SRP\/CS. L&rsquo;annexe A de la IEC 62061 pourrait \u00e9galement \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e comme alternative. En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, toute m\u00e9thode de ce type pr\u00e9sente un \u00e9cart en raison de la nature subjective des crit\u00e8res d&rsquo;\u00e9valuation.<\/p>\n<p>Le niveau de performance requis correspond \u00e0 la r\u00e9duction du risque que doit fournir la fonction de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 : plus la contribution \u00e0 la <strong>r\u00e9duction du risque est importante<\/strong>, plus la performance de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 requise est \u00e9lev\u00e9e. Les niveaux de performance des fonctions de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 sont d\u00e9finis en termes de probabilit\u00e9 moyenne de d\u00e9faillance dangereuse par heure. Il existe cinq niveaux de performance, allant d&rsquo;une faible contribution \u00e0 la r\u00e9duction du risque pour PL a, \u00e0 une forte contribution \u00e0 la r\u00e9duction du risque pour PL e. Les plages d\u00e9finies de probabilit\u00e9 de d\u00e9faillance dangereuse par heure sont indiqu\u00e9es dans le tableau 4.2.<\/p>\n<p>Afin de faciliter la conception d&rsquo;une SRP\/CS et l&rsquo;\u00e9valuation de la PL obtenue, la norme ISO 13849-1 utilise une m\u00e9thodologie bas\u00e9e sur la cat\u00e9gorisation des architectures, avec des crit\u00e8res de conception sp\u00e9cifiques (MTTFD et DCavg) et un comportement sp\u00e9cifi\u00e9 dans des <strong>conditions de d\u00e9faillance<\/strong>. Ces architectures sont class\u00e9es dans l&rsquo;un des cinq niveaux appel\u00e9s cat\u00e9gories B, 1, 2, 3 et 4.<\/p>\n<p>La premi\u00e8re \u00e9dition de l&rsquo;ISO 13849-1 \u00e9tait l&rsquo;\u00e9volution de l&rsquo;EN 954-1 et \u00e9tait toujours bas\u00e9e sur l&rsquo;approche dite d\u00e9terministe. Bien que l&rsquo;approche de la th\u00e9orie de la fiabilit\u00e9 ait \u00e9t\u00e9 introduite dans l&rsquo;ISO 13849-1 avec la deuxi\u00e8me \u00e9dition, l&rsquo;approche dite probabiliste, les 5 cat\u00e9gories d\u00e9finies par l&rsquo;EN 954-1 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 conserv\u00e9es en tant qu&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e9ments de base de la norme.<\/p>\n<p><strong>L&rsquo;une des diff\u00e9rences<\/strong> entre l&rsquo;EN 954-1 et l&rsquo;ISO 13849-1 est que, dans la premi\u00e8re, les cat\u00e9gories \u00e9taient associ\u00e9es \u00e0 l&rsquo;ensemble de la SRP\/CS, alors que dans la seconde, elles sont utilis\u00e9es pour repr\u00e9senter des sous-syst\u00e8mes.
