La norme d\u00e9finit les m\u00e9thodes \u00e0 utiliser pour prot\u00e9ger les personnes contre les chocs \u00e9lectriques. La derni\u00e8re \u00e9dition (5.1) date de mars 2017.<\/p>\n

La norme a le statut de publication de Group Safety Publication<\/b>\u00a0 (Guide IEC 104), ce qui signifie qu’elle est principalement destin\u00e9e \u00e0 \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e par d’autres comit\u00e9s<\/strong> d’\u00e9tudes lors de la r\u00e9daction de leurs normes sp\u00e9cifiques de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des produits. Cela signifie \u00e9galement qu’il ne s’agit pas d’une norme de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des produits et qu’elle ne peut pas \u00eatre appliqu\u00e9e telle quelle \u00e0 une installation \u00e9lectrique sp\u00e9cifique. C’est la principale diff\u00e9rence avec la norme NFPA 70 ou le code CE. Ces derniers peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s directement pour concevoir une distribution \u00e9lectrique s\u00fbre dans les b\u00e2timents.<\/p>\n
