<p>Alors que la norme EN 14122-4 pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente pr\u00e9sente une liste de toutes les dimensions \u00e0 respecter, l&rsquo;approche adopt\u00e9e par la nouvelle norme consiste \u00e0 fournir un guide pour le choix des principales caract\u00e9ristiques et des \u00e9l\u00e9ments que les \u00e9chelles comporteront.<\/p>\n<p>Des lignes directrices sont donn\u00e9es pour le choix du type d&rsquo;\u00e9chelle en fonction de l&rsquo;espace disponible et pour la d\u00e9finition des espaces \u00e0 respecter entre les diff\u00e9rents \u00e9l\u00e9ments de l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle et tout autre obstacle fixe pr\u00e9sent dans la zone.<\/p>\n<p>Un guide est \u00e9galement fourni pour le choix de l&rsquo;\u00e9quipement de protection individuelle contre les chutes de hauteur et pour<strong> l&rsquo;\u00e9valuation des risques li\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle<\/strong>, en tenant compte d&rsquo;aspects tels que l&rsquo;effort, les dommages dus \u00e0 la chute, la fr\u00e9quence d&rsquo;utilisation, etc.<\/p>\n<p>En fonction de la hauteur totale, la nouvelle norme d\u00e9termine les dimensions \u00e0 respecter et les dispositifs de protection \u00e0 adopter. (conception et construction) de tous les \u00e9l\u00e9ments pouvant former le syst\u00e8me d&rsquo;\u00e9chelle, des \u00e9chelons aux cages de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, sont d\u00e9taill\u00e9es.
