<p>L&rsquo;objectif premier de la pr\u00e9sente Norme est de fournir aux concepteurs un cadre g\u00e9n\u00e9ral et des conseils pour la mise au point d&rsquo;une machine s\u00fbre pour l&rsquo;usage auquel elle est destin\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em>[EN ISO 12100: 2010 Introduction] <\/em><\/strong><em>La notion de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des machines prend en compte l&rsquo;aptitude d&rsquo;une machine \u00e0 accomplir la ou les fonction(s) pr\u00e9vue(s) pendant son cycle de vie, le risque ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9duit de mani\u00e8re ad\u00e9quate<\/em><em>.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>La pr\u00e9sente norme internationale est une norme de type A. Une norme de type A (normes de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de base) donne un concept de base, des principes de conception et des aspects g\u00e9n\u00e9raux applicables \u00e0 la machine.<\/p>\n<p>La terminologie employ\u00e9e dans la norme actuelle est quelque peu obsol\u00e8te. En effet, lors de l&rsquo;\u00e9laboration de l&rsquo;\u00e9dition actuelle (2010), elle s&rsquo;appuyait sur les normes suivantes\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ISO 12100-1: 2003. Concepts fondamentaux, principes g\u00e9n\u00e9raux de conception \u2013 Partie 1\u00a0: Terminologie de base, m\u00e9thodologie<\/li>\n<li>ISO 12100-2: 2003. Concepts fondamentaux, principes g\u00e9n\u00e9raux de conception \u2013 Partie 2\u00a0: Principes techniques<\/li>\n<li>ISO 14121-1: 2007. <strong>\u00c9valuation des risques<\/strong> \u2013 Partie 1\u00a0: Principes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>sans modifications significatives. La norme est actuellement en cours de r\u00e9vision et devrait \u00eatre publi\u00e9e d&rsquo;ici fin 2026.<\/p>\n<p>La norme EN ISO 12100 sp\u00e9cifie une terminologie, des principes et une m\u00e9thodologie de base pour assurer la <strong>s\u00e9curit\u00e9<\/strong> lors de la conception d&rsquo;une machine. La norme sp\u00e9cifie les principes <strong>d&rsquo;appr\u00e9ciation et de r\u00e9duction du risque <\/strong>en d\u00e9crivant les proc\u00e9dures qui permettent aux concepteurs d&rsquo;identifier les dangers et d&rsquo;\u00e9valuer les risques\u00a0; d&rsquo;\u00e9liminer les dangers ou de fournir une r\u00e9duction suffisante des risques.<\/p>\n<p>Deux phases doivent \u00eatre suivies :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Appr\u00e9ciation des risques<\/li>\n<li>R\u00e9duction des risques<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>            <\/div>\n        \n        \n                <div
