Les \u00c9tats peuvent d\u00e9cider d&rsquo;adh\u00e9rer ou non aux directives f\u00e9d\u00e9rales ou d&rsquo;\u00e9laborer leurs propres directives.<\/p>\n<p>Comme au Canada, la responsabilit\u00e9 de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 sur le lieu de travail incombe \u00e0 l<strong>&#8217;employeur<\/strong>, comme l&rsquo;indique le document \u00ab\u00a0The General Duty Clause of the United States Occupational Safety and Health Act (Federal OSHA)\u00a0\u00bb (La clause d&rsquo;obligation g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de la loi am\u00e9ricaine sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et la sant\u00e9 au travail (Federal OSHA)) :<\/p>\n<p><em>29 U.S.C. \u00a7 654, 5(a)1 :<strong> Chaque employeur<\/strong> doit fournir \u00e0 chacun de ses employ\u00e9s un emploi et un <strong>lieu de travail exempts de dangers<\/strong> reconnus qui causent ou sont susceptibles de causer la mort ou des dommages physiques graves \u00e0 ses employ\u00e9s.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>La norme NFPA 70 (ou NEC, National Electrical Code)<\/strong> est la norme \u00e9lectrique de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence pour l&rsquo;Am\u00e9rique du Nord, et les autres normes \u00e9lectriques principales s&rsquo;en inspirent :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Code canadien de l&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 (C.C.E.)<\/strong> : l&rsquo;\u00e9quivalent du NEC pour le Canada.<\/li>\n<li><strong>UL 508A<\/strong> : norme pour les panneaux de contr\u00f4le industriels aux \u00c9tats-Unis.<\/li>\n<li><strong>C22-2 N\u00b014<\/strong> : \u00e9quivalent \u00e0 UL508A pour le Canada.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Par rapport aux normes d\u00e9riv\u00e9es de la norme CEI 60364, telles que la norme BS 7671, la NEC est beaucoup plus prescriptive dans son approche. Aux \u00c9tats-Unis, c&rsquo;est la <strong>norme pour la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique<\/strong> en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral et pour les installations fixes en particulier. La derni\u00e8re version de la NFPA date de 2014 et sera mise \u00e0 jour en 2017.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La NFPA 79<\/strong> est d\u00e9di\u00e9e aux \u00ab\u00a0machines industrielles\u00a0\u00bb, c&rsquo;est la norme \u00e9lectrique utilis\u00e9e pour le tableau des machines aux USA et elle est actuellement tr\u00e8s proche de l&rsquo;EN 60204-1 tout en conservant quelques diff\u00e9rences significatives.<\/p>\n<p>En r\u00e9sum\u00e9, les principales normes auxquelles il faut se r\u00e9f\u00e9rer, d&rsquo;un point de vue \u00e9lectrique, pour l&rsquo;exportation de machines aux \u00c9tats-Unis sont les suivantes :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>NFPA 70<\/strong> : exigences relatives aux syst\u00e8mes \u00e9lectriques (par exemple, ligne d&rsquo;alimentation de la machine).<\/li>\n<li><strong>NFPA 79<\/strong> : norme des machines.<\/li>\n<li><strong>UL 508A<\/strong> : norme pour les panneaux de contr\u00f4le industriels.<\/li>\n<li><strong>UL98 et UL98A<\/strong> : autres normes am\u00e9ricaines pour les panneaux de contr\u00f4le industriels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>GT Engineering propose aux constructeurs de machines des conseils en mati\u00e8re de conformit\u00e9 et des cours de formation sur les principales normes techniques am\u00e9ricaines relatives \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique. first:mt-0 space-y-4\">\n    <p>Le monde des syst\u00e8mes \u00e9lectriques n&rsquo;est pas toujours simple.<\/p>\n<p>Lorsqu&rsquo;ils travaillent sur un projet \u00e9lectrique international, les ing\u00e9nieurs sont souvent d\u00e9concert\u00e9s par le grand nombre de normes \u00e9lectriques et de r\u00e9glementations en mati\u00e8re de c\u00e2blage qui d\u00e9terminent leurs d\u00e9cisions.<\/p>\n<p>En mati\u00e8re de normes \u00e9lectriques, le monde peut \u00eatre divis\u00e9 en deux zones : Les pays NEC et les pays IEC.<\/p>\n<p>La norme IEC 60364 est un ensemble de documents qui d\u00e9finissent les principes fondamentaux, les pratiques et les exigences de performance qui refl\u00e8tent le concept europ\u00e9en des syst\u00e8mes de c\u00e2blage et de distribution.<\/p>\n<p>Le NEC est un ensemble de normes sp\u00e9cifiques destin\u00e9es \u00e0 \u00eatre utilis\u00e9es pour la conception, l&rsquo;installation et l&rsquo;application uniforme d&rsquo;installations \u00e9lectriques bas\u00e9es sur les principes et pratiques nord-am\u00e9ricains.<\/p>\n<p>Pour \u00eatre efficace, un code d&rsquo;installation \u00e9lectrique doit \u00eatre adapt\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;infrastructure \u00e9lectrique existante, au syst\u00e8me de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique d&rsquo;un pays, et \u00eatre interpr\u00e9t\u00e9, appliqu\u00e9 et mis en \u0153uvre de mani\u00e8re uniforme.<\/p>\n<p>Il doit \u00e9galement \u00eatre compatible avec les normes applicables aux produits dont l&rsquo;installation, l&rsquo;utilisation et la maintenance sont cens\u00e9es \u00eatre r\u00e9gies par le code. En r\u00e9sum\u00e9, les \u00e9l\u00e9ments suivants peuvent \u00eatre indiqu\u00e9s sur les documents : La norme IEC 60364 et le NEC \u00e9tablissent tous deux des exigences de performance pour la protection contre les incendies et les chocs \u00e9lectriques, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire la protection des personnes et des biens.<\/p>\n<p>Les deux documents traitent de l&rsquo;installation, de l&rsquo;utilisation et de la maintenance des syst\u00e8mes de c\u00e2blage des locaux et des \u00e9quipements. Les deux documents sont applicables aux syst\u00e8mes de c\u00e2blage dans les locaux r\u00e9sidentiels, commerciaux et industriels.<\/p>\n<p>Les emplacements dangereux (atmosph\u00e8res explosives) ne sont couverts que par le NEC et sont trait\u00e9s s\u00e9par\u00e9ment dans la IEC 60079.<\/p>\n<p>Aucun document ne concerne les installations de production, de transport ou de distribution d&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, ni celles qui sont sous le contr\u00f4le exclusif d&rsquo;utilisateurs d&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 ou de communication.<\/p>\n<p>La IEC 60364 fournit des exigences de performance g\u00e9n\u00e9rales et n&rsquo;est pas utilisable comme document d&rsquo;installation par les concepteurs de syst\u00e8mes \u00e9lectroniques, les installateurs ou les autorit\u00e9s d&rsquo;ex\u00e9cution, mais peut servir de guide pour l&rsquo;\u00e9laboration de r\u00e9glementations nationales en mati\u00e8re de c\u00e2blage.<\/p>\n<p>Le NEC est un ensemble complet de syst\u00e8mes \u00e9lectriques qui peut \u00eatre adopt\u00e9 et mis en \u0153uvre sans d\u00e9velopper de r\u00e8gles de c\u00e2blage suppl\u00e9mentaires.<\/p>\n<p>Les pays qui adoptent la norme IEC 60364, dans son int\u00e9gralit\u00e9 ou uniquement le chapitre 13 sur les principes fondamentaux, doivent \u00e9laborer des r\u00e8gles suppl\u00e9mentaires pouvant \u00eatre utilis\u00e9es par les concepteurs de syst\u00e8mes \u00e9lectroniques, les installateurs et les autorit\u00e9s charg\u00e9es de l&rsquo;application de ces r\u00e8gles.
