<strong>Cage de s\u00e9curit\u00e9<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; Antichute de type <strong>guid\u00e9 sur ligne d&rsquo;ancrage rigide<\/strong> (antichute)<\/p>\n<p>La norme de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence est la norme <strong>ISO EN 14122-4.<\/strong><br \/>\nSi la hauteur totale de chute est<strong> sup\u00e9rieure ou \u00e9gale \u00e0 3000 mm<\/strong>, l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle doit \u00eatre \u00e9quip\u00e9e d&rsquo;un dispositif de protection contre les chutes.<br \/>\nLa norme pr\u00e9cise qu&rsquo;en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, <strong>il est conseill\u00e9 d&rsquo;adopter la cage de s\u00e9curit\u00e9<\/strong> comme mesure de protection, sauf si cela n&rsquo;est pas possible, par exemple en raison d&rsquo;espaces trop \u00e9troits qui emp\u00eachent son installation. La raison de ce choix est li\u00e9e au fait qu&rsquo;une mauvaise utilisation du harnais, plut\u00f4t qu&rsquo;une inad\u00e9quation structurelle de l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle, peut ne pas assurer la protection contre la chute. La cage de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, en revanche, garantit une s\u00e9curit\u00e9 permanente, quel que soit <strong>le comportement de l&rsquo;op\u00e9rateur<\/strong>, si elle est conforme \u00e0 la norme (voir figure ci-dessous). Toutefois, une utilisation correcte du harnais, associ\u00e9e \u00e0 une \u00e9chelle conforme \u00e0 la norme et \u00e0 un personnel bien form\u00e9, permet d&rsquo;arr\u00eater la chute plus efficacement que la cage de protection.<br \/>\nLa <strong>combinaison d&rsquo;une cage de protection et d&rsquo;un antichute ne doit pas \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pour s\u00e9lectionner un type appropri\u00e9 de dispositif de protection contre les chutes, il convient de proc\u00e9der \u00e0 une<strong> \u00e9valuation des risques conform\u00e9ment \u00e0 la norme ISO 12100<\/strong>. Les aspects pertinents \u00e0 prendre en compte sont, par exemple, les suivants :<\/p>\n<p>a) Les conditions d&rsquo;acc\u00e8s<br \/>\nb) Hauteur totale d&rsquo;escalade pour une \u00e9chelle fixe<br \/>\nc) Quantit\u00e9 de risque de chute et gravit\u00e9 attendue des blessures<br \/>\nd) Aspects humains<br \/>\ne) Aspects li\u00e9s au sauvetage<br \/>\nf) Aspects environnementaux<br \/>\ng) Fr\u00e9quence d&rsquo;utilisation<br \/>\nh) Traitement des p\u00e9ages<\/p>\n<p>Afin de garantir, dans la mesure du possible, que seul le personnel autoris\u00e9 et bien form\u00e9 puisse acc\u00e9der \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle et utiliser le harnais, la norme exige que ces \u00e9chelles, \u00e9quip\u00e9es d&rsquo;un dispositif antichute de type guid\u00e9 (et sans cage), soient<strong> dot\u00e9es de syst\u00e8mes de verrouillage afin d&#8217;emp\u00eacher les op\u00e9rateurs non autoris\u00e9s et non qualifi\u00e9s<\/strong> de les utiliser. Ci-dessous, un exemple tir\u00e9 de la norme du dispositif qui vient d&rsquo;\u00eatre d\u00e9crit, suivant les principales dimensions des \u00e9chelles et des cages de
