Le ch\u00e2ssis du moteur est-il grounded ou bonded ?<\/p>\n<p>Pourquoi le conducteur de protection (PE) est-il appel\u00e9 Equipment Grounding Conductor (EGC) aux \u00c9tats-Unis ?<\/p>\n<p>Ce sont d&rsquo;excellentes questions auxquelles nous essayons de r\u00e9pondre.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CONSID\u00c9RATION 1 : <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Earthing<\/strong> et <strong>Grounding<\/strong>\u00a0sont des synonymes qui signifient <strong>relier une pi\u00e8ce m\u00e9tallique \u00e0 la terre<\/strong>, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire au sol. Par exemple, le neutre d&rsquo;un transformateur MT\/BT doit \u00eatre <strong>mis \u00e0 la terre<\/strong> si l&rsquo;on veut cr\u00e9er un syst\u00e8me de mise \u00e0 la terre TN. Dans le sch\u00e9ma, la r\u00e9sistance RN est la r\u00e9sistance du neutre et montre comment mettre \u00e0 la terre le point neutre du transformateur.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Le terme \u00ab\u00a0Grounding\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong> (mise \u00e0 la terre) est utilis\u00e9 aux \u00c9tats-Unis et au Canada ; <strong>\u00ab\u00a0Earthing\u00a0\u00bb (mise \u00e0 la terre)<\/strong> est utilis\u00e9 au <strong>Royaume-Uni, en Australie et, en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, dans le monde entier.<\/strong> C&rsquo;est \u00e9galement le terme pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 dans la s\u00e9rie IEC 60364, mais l\u00e0 encore, la signification est exactement la m\u00eame.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bonding <\/strong>est utilis\u00e9e dans les normes de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique du monde entier et <strong>consiste \u00e0 relier deux parties m\u00e9talliques \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;un c\u00e2ble PE<\/strong> ; l&rsquo;objectif premier de la liaison est de cr\u00e9er un chemin de <strong>boucle de d\u00e9faut \u00e0 faible imp\u00e9dance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CONSIDERATION 2 : <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Le sujet semble tr\u00e8s simple. En r\u00e9alit\u00e9, il ne l&rsquo;est pas et la raison en est que les normes techniques importantes ne sont pas claires dans leur langage. Prenons l&rsquo;exemple du NEC (ou NFPA 70). Voici la d\u00e9finition de \u00ab\u00a0Equipment Grounding Conductor\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em>[NFPA 70 : 2023] <span class=\"c-section-detail__title \">Grounding Conductor, Equipment (EGC).<span class=\" c-code-change -addition\">\u00a0(Equipment Grounding Conductor)<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Chemin(s) conducteur(s) faisant partie d&rsquo;un chemin efficace de courant de d\u00e9faut de terre et reliant des pi\u00e8ces m\u00e9talliques normalement non porteuses de courant de l&rsquo;\u00e9quipement entre elles et au conducteur de mise \u00e0 la terre du syst\u00e8me ou au conducteur de l&rsquo;\u00e9lectrode de mise \u00e0 la terre, ou aux deux \u00e0 la fois. (CMP-5)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Note d&rsquo;information n\u00b0 1 : Il est admis que le conducteur de mise \u00e0 la terre de l&rsquo;\u00e9quipement assure \u00e9galement la liaison.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Aux \u00c9tats-Unis, le syst\u00e8me TT est interdit, ce qui signifie que le c\u00e2ble de terre doit \u00eatre connect\u00e9 entre <strong>une partie conductrice expos\u00e9e et<\/strong> <strong>le point neutre du transformateur MT\/BT.<\/strong> Cela signifie que le c\u00e2ble PE connect\u00e9 \u00e0 une partie conductrice expos\u00e9e est d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 la liaison ; rien d&rsquo;autre puisque, pour la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique, une partie conductrice expos\u00e9e doit \u00eatre li\u00e9e (au neutre du syst\u00e8me) et non mise \u00e0 la terre ! Le NEC et le code CE donnent tous deux une bonne d\u00e9finition du conducteur de liaison :<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em><strong>[NFPA 70 : 2023] : Bonding Conductor (Bonding Jumper).<\/strong> Un conducteur qui assure la conductivit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique requise entre les parties m\u00e9talliques qui doivent \u00eatre connect\u00e9es \u00e9lectriquement. (CMP-5)<\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong>[Code CE : 2024] Bonding conductor<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; un conducteur qui relie les parties non porteuses de courant d&rsquo;un \u00e9quipement \u00e9lectrique, d&rsquo;une canalisation ou d&rsquo;une enceinte au conducteur de mise \u00e0 la terre de l&rsquo;\u00e9quipement de service ou du syst\u00e8me.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Cependant, aux \u00c9tats-Unis, le conducteur utilis\u00e9 pour relier les \u00e9quipements est appel\u00e9 <strong>conducteur de mise \u00e0 la terre des \u00e9quipements<\/strong>, alors qu&rsquo;en r\u00e9alit\u00e9, il devrait \u00eatre appel\u00e9 conducteur de mise \u00e0 la terre des \u00e9quipements !<\/p>\n<p><strong>CONSIDERATION 3 : <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Aux Etats-Unis et au Canada, le <strong>Neutral conductor<\/strong> est appel\u00e9 <strong>Grounded Conductor<\/strong>. Voici sa d\u00e9finition, suivie d&rsquo;une d\u00e9claration qui devrait clarifier le concept de conducteur de mise \u00e0 la terre de l&rsquo;\u00e9quipement !<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>[NFPA 70 : 2023] <span class=\"c-section-detail__title \"><strong>Grounded Conductor<\/strong><\/span>. Un syst\u00e8me de protection contre la foudre (LPS) doit \u00eatre earthed (ou Grounded aux \u00c9tats-Unis et au Canada) afin de disperser le courant de foudre en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9 vers la terre. Un syst\u00e8me \u00e9lectrique est earthed (grounded) pour cr\u00e9er une installation TN.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bonding<\/strong> est la<strong> connexion de deux pi\u00e8ces m\u00e9talliques \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;un c\u00e2ble PE (EGC aux \u00c9tats-Unis)<\/strong>.
