space-y-4\">\n    <p>To comply with a defined EPL, Ex Equipment shall first be protected against potential ignition sources by applying the measures contained in the IEC 60079 and the ISO 80079; if the igniton sources couldn&#8217;t be detected and prevented by the measures, it may be controlled by using a suitable safety device.<\/p>\n<\/div>            <\/div>\n        \n        \n text-base normal mt-8 first:mt-0 space-y-4\">\n    <p>The ignition hazard assessment of the Ex equipment starts with the evaluation of the ignition sources, and also by checking if the Ex equipment itself has malfunctions that can lead to potential ignition sources.<\/p>\n<p>The Ex equipment and the safety devices shall first be assessed as a combination relevant to the EPL.<\/p>\n<p>There are cases where the equipment may have also been assessed without the control of a safety device, but with a lower EPL rating.<\/p>\n<p>If the equipment presents several ignition sources, for each ignition source the same procedure shall be performed, and the potential ignition sources mitigated by appropriate measures.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>            <\/div>\n        \n        \n
