Industrial Control Panels (&sect;409.62);<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">an approach for Industrial Control Panels specific for Industrial Machineries&nbsp;(&sect;670.4).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">UL 508A in&nbsp;2018 edition provided:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">an approach for &quot;standard&quot; Industrial Control Panels (&sect;32.3.1);<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">an approach for Industrial Control Panels specific for Industrial Machineries (&sect;66.7.4).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>            <\/div>\n        \n        \n                <div class=\"clear-both\"><\/div>\n        \n\n    <\/div>\n        <\/section>\n\n    \n\n\n\n\n    \n        <section\n            data-name=\"Contenuto testuale con immagine\"\n            class=\"bow-gte-testo-media u-spacer-base\"\n            id=\"\"\n        >\n            \n<div class=\"o-text-media px-side-spacer sm:px-side-spacer-sm lg:px-side-spacer-tablet 2xl:px-side-spacer-desktop flex flex-wrap items-start md:block\">\n\n    \n                    <div class=\"mb-6 relative w-full md:mb-4 lg:mb-8 xl:mb-9\">\n                \n        <div                class=\"m-headings\"\n            >\n    \n    \n<h4 class=\"a-heading text-primary font-heading text-2xl lg:text-3xl xl:text-4xl normal mt-2 first:mt-0\">\n                    Guidelines for sizing feeder circuits according to  UL 508A 2020 update    <\/h4>\n        <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n        \n        \n                    <div class=\"relative w-full\">\n                \n<div class=\"a-text font-text text-base normal mt-8 first:mt-0 space-y-4\">\n    <p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the time of writing, NFPA 2021 has not yet been published, while for UL 508A&nbsp;April 2020 update led to the unification of the two approaches&nbsp;mentioned above into a single one that represents the unique method for all types of industrial control panels.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The most important requirements made with this unification are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sizing of&nbsp;feeder conductor (&sect;66.5): it is stated that the minimum ampacity of the feeder conductor must comply with the following condition:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"unicode-bidi:embed\"><span style=\"word-break:normal\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri\"><span style=\"color:black\">I<span style=\"vertical-align:sub\">Z<\/span> &ge; 1,25% FLC<span style=\"vertical-align:sub\">LARGEST MOTOR <\/span>+ 1,25% FLC<span style=\"vertical-align:sub\">HEATING LOADS <\/span>&nbsp;+ &sum; FLC<span style=\"vertical-align:sub\">OTHER UTILITIES<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sizing of feeder protection&nbsp;(&sect;32.3.1): it is stated that the feeder conductor protection must comply with the following condition:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"unicode-bidi: embed;\"><span style=\"word-break: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-weight:bold\">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;I<span style=\"vertical-align:sub\">N&nbsp; <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-weight:bold\">&le;<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&nbsp; <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: Calibri;\">Largest BCPD (Table 31.1) + 1,25\u2219&sum; FLC<span style=\"vertical-align:sub\">ALL RESIST.
