Insulated wire or insulated busbars operating at not over 300 volts to ground shall not be considered live parts.<br \/><strong>Condition 2<\/strong> &mdash; Exposed live parts on one side and a grounded surfaceon the other side. Concrete, brick, or tile walls shall be considered as grounded.<br \/><strong>Condition 3<\/strong> &mdash; Exposed live parts on both sides of the working space (not guarded as provided in Condition 1) with the operator between.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><meta charset=\"utf-8\" \/><b id=\"docs-internal-guid-dd310ccf-acfa-eb73-1018-96889230b02d\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/rKFE8vgvtC4CWsyU0Xw7eW0n9mxX48mTSf-ceyABPIYHohF5GbaB3CQ-tv1HU2qKszhSIn5hSxWkkTP4mdAnU09Gb_8BdN2m09L4BQXVMTQCdCmrY1ZcV5V57inzvfBkh42aejFopmwnez7UUg\" width=\"405\" \/><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Important is the definition of <strong>Exposed Live Parts<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>3.3.42 Exposed (as applied to live parts). &nbsp; Capable of being&nbsp;inadvertently touched or approached nearer than a safe<br \/>distance by a person. It is applied to parts not suitably guarded,&nbsp;isolated, or insulated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The definition is the same as NFPA 70E. The problem is that &quot;Exposed Live Parts&quot;&nbsp;would be spontaneously&nbsp;translated into &quot;non-IPxxB&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, <strong>there is no consensus on this point<\/strong> among the members of the working group.
