The formulae are in themselves a simplification of reliability analysis theory and are intended to provide estimates that are biased towards the safe direction. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-align:justify;\">The precondition for the validity for all formulae given in this subclause is that <\/span><m:omath><m:r><span style=\"text-align:justify;\">&lambda;&nbsp;<\/span><\/m:r><m:r><span style=\"text-align:justify;\">&bull;&nbsp;<\/span><\/m:r><m:r><span style=\"text-align:justify;\">T<\/span><\/m:r><m:r><span style=\"text-align:justify;\"><sub>1<\/sub> &lt;&lt;&nbsp;
