Those aspects are outside the scope of this specification but are covered in the IEC 62443 series.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The relationship between safety and security<\/strong> aspects can be characterized as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>a machine has appropriate protective measures<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>security countermeasures<\/strong> applied to a machinery should be appropriate to avoid degradation of the performance of protective measures that implement safety functions, <strong>including safety-related data.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>            <\/div>\n        \n        \n                <div class=\"clear-both\"><\/div>\n        \n\n    <\/div>\n        <\/section>\n\n    \n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IEC TS 63074:2023 Safety of machinery &#8211;
