Here&#39;s the detail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1)<\/strong>&nbsp;Addition of terms and definitions such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>emergency stop equipment: <\/strong>Safety-related parts of a control system which&nbsp;perform the emergency stop function.<\/li>\n<li><strong>span of control of emergency stop device(s): <\/strong>Predetermined section of the machinery under control of specific emergency stop device(s).<\/li>\n<li><strong>protective shroud: <\/strong>Mechanical measure&nbsp;provided to reduce the possibility of unintended&nbsp;actuation&nbsp;of an emergency stop device.<\/li>\n<li><strong>emergency situation: <\/strong>Hazardous&nbsp;situation needing to be&nbsp;urgently ended or averted.<\/li>\n<li><strong>operator control station: <\/strong>Assembly of one or more control actuators fixed on the same panel or located in the same enclosure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2)<\/strong> The use of emergency buttons with protective shroud&nbsp;is discouraged, however they remain allowed&nbsp;&nbsp;(paragraph&nbsp;<strong>4.5<\/strong>.).<\/p>\n<p><strong>3)<\/strong> The minimum level of reliability of the Emergency function is defined as Performance Level c (paragraph&nbsp;<strong>4.1.5<\/strong>).&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>4)&nbsp;<\/strong>Removable or cableless operator control stations are treated&nbsp;(paragraph&nbsp;<strong>4.6<\/strong>).&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>5)<\/strong> Addition of paragraph <strong>4.1.2<\/strong> <strong>dedicated to the span of control of emergency stop device(s).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>6)<\/strong>&nbsp;Addition of paragraph <strong>4.1.4 <\/strong>relative to the disangagement&nbsp;(reset) of the emergency stop device.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7)&nbsp;<\/strong>Section <strong>4.3.7<\/strong> concerning emergency devices specifies that neither the actuator nor the background should be labeled with text&nbsp;or symbols.<\/p>\n<\/div>            <\/div>\n        \n        \n                <div class=\"clear-both\"><\/div>\n        \n\n    <\/div>\n        <\/section>\n\n    \n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are many new features in the new version of the standard.
