safety functions according to <b>ISO 13849-1<\/b>, the fourth edition of which was published in April 2023.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\">The program is intended for <b>machinery manufacturers<\/b> using relatively simple safety circuits, interlocks, safety barriers (<b>AOPD<\/b> &#8211; Active Opto-electronic Protective Devices), contactors, and <b>Variable Speed Drives (VSD)<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">The training begins with a brief introduction to the concept of <b>Reliability<\/b> and <b>Performance Level<\/b>, describes the <b>five categories<\/b> of ISO 13849-1, the <b>Validation<\/b> process, and concludes with several <b>practical examples<\/b> carried out together with the participants.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6\"><b>TARGET AUDIENCE:<\/b> Electrical and mechanical technicians who work for a Machinery manufacturer.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7\"><b>DIFFERENCES BETWEEN FS 1, FS 2, AND FS 3 COURSES:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"8\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"8,0,0\">The <b>FS 1<\/b> course is for those who want to gain a good knowledge of <b>ISO 13849-1<\/b>, which allows them to calculate the <b>Performance Levels<\/b> of a safety function.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"8,1,0\">The <b>FS 2<\/b> course is for those who are also interested in <b>IEC 62061<\/b> (calculation of <b>Safety Integrated Level \u2013 SIL<\/b>) and want to explore the differences between High and Low Demand systems.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"8,2,0\">Finally, the <b>FS 3<\/b> course is suitable for those who already have a good knowledge of ISO 13849-1 and are interested in exploring the following aspects: <b>IEC 62061<\/b>, the standard on <b>Low Demand<\/b> (IEC 61508 and IEC 61511), how to interpret a certificate for a <b>&#8220;SIL-certified&#8221; pressure transmitter<\/b>, how to manage <b>&#8220;mixed&#8221; systems<\/b> (i.e., with loops in both High and Low demand), and generally gain excellent knowledge of the standards related to <b>Functional Safety<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9\">The FS 1, FS 2, and FS 3 programs are <b>cascaded<\/b>: <b>FS 2<\/b>
