Hereafter the three standards we will discuss during the training:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>NEC or\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gt-engineering.it\/en\/technical-standards\/ul-and-nfpa-standards\/national-electrical-code-2020\/\">NFPA 70<\/a>,<\/strong> now in its 2026\u00a0edition. It is the reference standard for electrical safety in the United States.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gt-engineering.it\/normative-tecniche\/normative-usa\/industrial-machinery\/\">NFPA 79<\/a>:<\/strong>\u00a0inspired by EN 60204-1 and which deals with the construction of the switchboard and especially the characteristics of the\u00a0 machine\u2019s control panels. GT Engineering participates in the working group of the new edition that will see the light in 2024.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gt-engineering.it\/normative-tecniche\/normative-usa\/ul-508a\/\"><b>UL 508A<\/b><\/a>: The standard for the design, construction and certification of Industrial Control Panels of machinery in USA. We are member of the Standard Technical Panel.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0Canadian Electrical Code or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gt-engineering.it\/normative-tecniche\/normative-canada\/ce-code\/\">C22.1<\/a>.<\/strong> is the reference standard for electrical safety in Canada.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gt-engineering.it\/en\/technical-standards\/csa-canada-standards\/control-panels-for-machineries\/\"><strong>C22.2 N301<\/strong><\/a>, The reference standard for the electrical installation outside the control panel. It is the equivalento of NFPA 79.<\/li>\n<li><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gt-engineering.it\/en\/technical-standards\/csa-canada-standards\/c22-2-n-286-industrial-control-panels-and-assemblies\/\">C 22.2 N\u00b0286<\/a>:\u00a0<\/b>Since January 2022 it is the reference standard for Industrial Control Panels to be imported into Canada.
