Such equipment must be listed, and the\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gt-engineering.it\/en\/technical-standards\/ul-and-nfpa-standards\/ul-508a\/ul-508a-definitions\/\"><span dir=\"auto\">branch circuit<\/span><\/a><span dir=\"auto\">\u00a0\u00a0into which it is installed must be appropriately sized. It also specifies the installation procedures for such equipment, such as location, operating space, and any protective measures to be adopted.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Of particular note is Article\u00a0<\/span><strong><span dir=\"auto\">706<\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">\u00a0\u00a0, which concerns Energy Storage Systems (ESS). It covers all permanently installed systems, including devices with electrochemical (e.g., batteries), electrolytic (e.g., capacitor banks), and devices that store kinetic energy (e.g., compressed air).<\/span><br \/>\n<span dir=\"auto\">Part\u00a0<\/span><strong><span dir=\"auto\">1<\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\">\u00a0of the Article provides general requirements, such as the scope and various definitions.
