that:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"margin:0cm 0cm 8pt\"><span style=\"margin:0cm 0cm 8pt;\"><span style=\"text-align:justify;\">In fulfilling the obligations set out in Article 17, paragraph 1, the employer shall assess the specific risks arising from explosive atmospheres, taking into account at least the following elements:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin:0cm 0cm 8pt;\"><span style=\"text-align:justify;\">(a) likelihood and duration of the presence of explosive atmospheres;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin:0cm 0cm 8pt;\"><span style=\"text-align:justify;\">(b) the likelihood that ignition sources, including electrostatic discharges, will be present and become active and effective<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin:0cm 0cm 8pt;\"><span style=\"text-align:justify;\">(c) characteristics of the plant, substances used, processes and their possible interactions<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin:0cm 0cm 8pt;\"><span style=\"text-align:justify;\">(d) the extent of foreseeable effects;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"margin:0cm 0cm 8pt\"><span style=\"margin:0cm 0cm 8pt;\"><span style=\"text-align:justify;\">The purpose of Directive 99\/92\/EC is to provide <strong>the minimum requirements for improving the safety and health protection of workers potentially measures can be taken. The steps to be taken are as follows<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"margin:0cm 0cm 8pt;\">&#8211; Hazard identification<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"margin:0cm 0cm 8pt;\">&#8211; Classification into zones (known as ATEX zones)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"margin:0cm 0cm 8pt;\">&#8211; Identification of ignition sources<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"margin:0cm 0cm 8pt;\">&#8211; Extent of foreseeable effects<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"margin:0cm 0cm 8pt;\">&#8211; Safety measures (prevention, protection, organisational-management measures)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span determining the ATEX zone type of the environment on which the assessment is to be made, a verification of the suitability of the components for the 2014\/34\/EU directive must be carried out, which is why component marking is done.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Any electrical equipment<\/strong>, unless it is a <strong>Simple Apparatus<\/strong>, installed in classified area <strong>must be marked<\/strong> <strong>Ex as Equipment<\/strong> (not Component \u201cU\u201d), as expressed in the paragraph of the standard:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>[IEC 60079-14: 2017] <b>\u00a0<\/b><b>4.2 Conditions of Use &#8211; 4.2.1 General<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>With the exception of simple apparatus installed in an intrinsically safe circuit, only <b>Ex Equipment <\/b>having an Ex Equipment certificate<b>shall be
