Compared to the previous <strong>Directive 94\/9\/EC<\/strong>, the &#8220;process&#8221; to be followed (<strong>New Legislative Framework of 2008<\/strong>) leading to the verification of the compliance of equipment with the Directive is better clarified.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-align: justify;\">Depending on the type of equipment (electrical or non-electrical) and the ATEX Zone in which it is to be installed, there is a need or not for a notified body to mark it. The first part is required by the Directive, the second part by the technical regulations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;\">Regarding the first part of the marking, According to anex II( Directive 2014\/ 34\/ EU ), which refers to <em><strong>\u201cEssential health and safety requirements relating to the design and construction of equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres\u201d<\/strong><\/em>, all equipment and protective systems must be marked indelibly and identifiably with the following minimum details:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>name, registered trade name or registered trademark and address of the manufacturer<\/li>\n<li>CE marking( in accordance with Art. num. 765\/2008 )<\/li>\n<li>designation of the series or type<\/li>\n<li>serial number or serial number, if available<\/li>\n<li>year of construction<\/li>\n<li>the specific explosion protection marking followed by the symbol of the equipment group and category<\/li>\n<li>for equipment group II, the letter \u201cG\u201d (relating to explosive atmospheres caused by gases, vapors or mists), and\/or the letter \u201cD\u201d (relating to explosive atmospheres caused by dust). in addition, if necessary, they must be marked with all essential information with their safe use.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>
